Biography

Sharon is an award-winning playwright and dramaturge. Her theatre plays have been shortlisted for the Yale Drama Prize and the PapaTango playwriting award and she was awarded a Bruntwood Judge’s Prize for her play, Plow. For 8 years she was Literary Producer at the Bristol Old Vic and recently has been the dramaturge for the Akram Khan company. In 2022 she was invited by Channel 4 to participate in an attachment for new writers to TV and in 2024 she had three short films produced. She is Creative Director of Raucous, a site responsive theatre company that fuses performance, music, film, AR, AI and creative technology. Her explorations into making theatre with digital technology have led to fellowships with the RSC and Magic Leap, SWCTN and Bristol+Bath Creative Clusters. Sharon is a senior lecturer in writing for stage and screen at UWE and a member of the Digital Cultures Research Centre.
