What is MIX?

MIX is Bath Spa University’s biennale conference that explores the intersection of writing and technology, bringing together people from around the world to make, think and talk. MIX investigates where creative writing and media creation intersect with and/or are dependent on technology. In 2023, for the first time, MIX will be held away from a Bath Spa University campus and will take place at the British Library, London.

When will MIX 2023 be held?

MIX 2023 will kick off with an optional afternoon tea and tour of the Digital Storytelling with curators on 6 July, followed by the conference on 7 July.

All events will be held at the British Library, London.

How do I get to the British Library?

Located at 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB, close to St Pancras railway station in London, the British Library is easy to access by London Transport and train, including by Eurostar. MIX 2023 will take place in the British Library’s Knowledge Centre.

What is the Digital Storytelling exhibition?

From 2 June 2023, the British Library will be hosting Digital Storytelling, an exhibition of digital literature and emerging formats which will highlight digital publishing from recent years. MIX 2023 will enable scholars and practitioners to come together to explore the exhibition.

MIX 2023 ticket holders can book a free ticket for a curator-led tour of the exhibition.
