What is MIX?
Now in its eighth year, Bath Spa University’s MIX has established itself as an innovative forum for the discussion and exploration of writing and technology, bringing together researchers, writers, technologists and practitioners from around the world to make, think and talk.
MIX is situated within Bath Spa University’s world-class Creative Writing department within the School of Writing, Publishing and Humanities, as well as the Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries, which also co-hosts the online magazine of writing and technology, The Writing Platform. Mix 2025 is part of the My World programme, which explores the future of creative technology innovation.
When will MIX 2025 be held?
MIX 2025 will be a one-day symposium, taking place on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 at Bath Spa University’s Locksbrook Campus.
How do I get to Locksbrook Campus?
Located next to the River Avon in Bath City Centre, Bath Spa University’s Locksbrook Campus is accessible by multiple means of transport.
Train
Oldfield Park station is about a 15 minute walk from Locksbrook Campus.
Bus
The U5 or 5 service that takes you from the centre of Bath to Newton Park. Locksbrook Campus is just a short walk from the Burnham Road bus stop.
Alternatively, you can use the following services that stop at The Weston bus stop: X39, 19, 21, 3 and 4. Please refer to the Journey Planner on the day of travel.
Bike
The Bristol to Bath cycle path runs alongside Locksbrook Campus.
Car
Car parking spaces at Locksbrook Campus are limited and are for staff use and those with access requirements only. We encourage all visitors to use public transport wherever possible and not to park on the streets surrounding the building. If you have access requirements, email
How much are tickets to MIX 2025?
The price of tickets for the day will be kept low to enable access for a broad range of participants: £45 full price / £25 students/concessions.
Note that this will be a boutique version of MIX, with ticket numbers limited to 70.
