Biography

Cinzia has been researching the impact of technology on literary texts, creative writing and learning for over 20 years. She is currently exploring AI’s potential as a collaborative partner in creative writing learning as an Independent Scholar. She has worked in universities in Italy, the UK, and the US, in academic and educational roles. In her research on digital humanities, she investigated how to represent the creative process and literary texts at various stages of composition in digital form, contributing to the development of dynamic text visualisations at the Digital Variants Archive and collaborating with digital literary archives in US universities. Bridging theory and practice, she integrated this research into teaching second language, humanities, literary criticism, and creative writing. She furthered her research on digital education, leading innovative projects on virtual reality, video production, and AI in learning design, exploring how technologies transform educational practices. She has presented her work at international conferences in Italy, Germany, the UK, and the US, and published internationally. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
