Biography
Toby Martinez de las Rivas was born in 1978. He has published three collections with Faber: Terror (2014), Black Sun (2018) and Floodmeadow (2023). Black Sun was shortlisted for The Forward Prize for Best Collection. His work has also appeared in Penguin Modern Poets 7 (2018), and in journals across the US and UK. In 2014 he jointly won The Wiener Library International Book Art Prize, and has received The Andrew Waterhouse Award and The Australia Residency Award from New Writing North, and an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors.
