Biography
Dr Judith Pintar is a sociologist, storyteller, and game designer. She is currently appointed as a Teaching Associate professor in the School of Information Sciences and is the Director of the Game Studies & Design program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Author of the ancient but classic work of Interactive Fiction, CosmoServe, which simulates Compuserve’s Gamer’s Forum in the BBS-era, she is finally working on a long-promised sequel. She chairs the education committee of the Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation (IFTF). Her most recent publication is Information Science: the Basics (Routledge 2022).
