David Jackson

Dr David Jackson is a storyteller and researcher exploring AI in fiction and its effect on audiences. Recent work includes Stepford, an opinionated chatbot that comments on sexism in sci-fi texts (funded by Mozilla Technology Fund) and Audience with a Hero, an exploration of interactive speech-led documentary, with musician Nile Rodgers and partners Forever Holdings and Bright White. He presented his first PhD paper at Mix 2013 and has since presented at places like the London Book Fair, Manchester International Festival and BBC Digital Cities. David leads the Storytelling Co-Lab unit taken by all students in the School of Digital Arts, Manchester Metropolitan University.
