Biography

Sarah Hymas completed a creative-critical literature PhD at Liverpool University in 2019. In it, she researched the marine lyric as a co-worlding of the human and more-than-human. She is now widening that work into autofictive and essay forms. Her writing appears in print, multimedia exhibits, as lyrics, installations, short films, on stage, and as immersive walks. melt (Waterloo Press 2020) creates a poetic reorientation of the ocean as an assemblage of animal, plant, plastic, mineral, technology, human and more. the hispering (BlackSunflowers Poetry, 2021) ripples between eco-poetry, fairy tale, dream and consciousness studies.
