Donna Hancox

Biography

Dr Donna Hancox is the Associate Director of the Creative Lab in the Creative Industries Faculty at Queensland University of Technology. Her research and publications investigate the role personal narratives play in creating social change, and the potential of interactive and immersive storytelling tools to amplify the voices of under- represented communities. She has collaborated with rural, remote and refugee communities in a series of funded research projects and delivered policy recommendations and tool kits for government and industry. Dr Hancox was awarded a Smithsonian Research Fellowship in 2018 at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City.
