Enrica Lovaglio Costello

Biography

Enrica Costello is a faculty in the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo since 2002. She was raised in an Italian hamlet by the sea and moved to the U.S. in her twenties, after earning a master’s degree in Architecture. In the U.S., she obtained a master and is a PhD student in media arts and technology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She discovered virtual reality in 2000 while exploring human cognition through the development of a 3D interface. She researches innovative cross-disciplinary computational art forms, emotive and interactive narratives and collaborative experiences in mixed realities.
